Council Jr.-Sr. High School is proud to announce that Agricultural Education Instructor and FFA Advisor Tyler Power has been selected as a Top 50 semifinalist for the Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence.
The Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize recognizes outstanding skilled trades educators from across the nation who are preparing students for successful careers in the trades. This recognition reflects the success of Council's Agricultural Mechanics and FFA programs, where students develop technical skills in welding, fabrication, small engines, and agricultural power systems while also building leadership, teamwork, and career readiness through FFA activities and competitions.
If selected as a prize recipient, the award would provide significant funding to further enhance opportunities for students in the Agricultural Mechanics program through equipment, training, and hands-on learning experiences.
Congratulations to Mr. Power on this outstanding achievement and national recognition. Council School District is proud of the positive impact being made through Agricultural Education and FFA, and the opportunities being created for students both in the classroom and beyond.
