Our elementary summer school students had a fantastic week filled with fun and learning! They enjoyed exciting trips to the farm and the pool, creating wonderful memories along the way. In summer school today, Wonders of Wildlife came in for an assembly. They brought some friends that our students really enjoyed seeing and learning about. They got to see a corn snake, a 3 banded armadillo, and a box turtle that was not hiding or shy at all!

Our recent graduates' diplomas are ready for pickup in the High School office, Tuesday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm until June 26th. After that date, they can be picked up during those same days and times beginning August 4th.

Summer School Parents- the 3rd - 6th grade field trip for today, 6/3/26 has been postponed by the farm due to illness. The K-2 field trip for tomorrow, 6/4/26 has also been postponed. A makeup date will be sent home with students soon.

MONDAY Morning Update:
Boil Order is LIFTED!!

UPDATE SUNDAY 2:09PM
First round of water tests just came back GREAT!
but we are still going to wait for tomorrow's results before declaring victory. AGAIN the boil order is a safety measure as a result of low water pressure which happened late Friday evening.

VOLUNTARY BOIL ORDER NOTICE 🚨

Due to a lightning strike that affected both of the City's water wells, portions of our water system experienced low water pressure. While water service has been restored and there is currently no indication of contamination, the City of Crane is issuing a voluntary boil order out of an abundance of caution.

Residents are encouraged to boil water intended for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, making ice, or preparing food for at least three minutes before use until further notice.

City crews have been working diligently to restore normal operations and water samples will be collected and tested to ensure the safety of the water supply. We will provide updates as soon as test results are received and the voluntary boil order can be lifted.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this unexpected situation.

A huge thank you to Table Rock Community Bank and the Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce for recognizing our Teacher of the Year, Ms. Maddy Swearingen, at today’s Members’ Luncheon!

We are incredibly grateful for the support our schools receive from our community. Partnerships like these are just one of the many things that make Stone County such a special place!

As we closed out this school year, we celebrated two incredible retirees whose impact has reached across multiple generations of Crane families. Their dedication, compassion, and years of service have helped shape our school and community in countless ways.

Thank you, Mrs. Danielle Chastain and Mrs. Mary Ellingsworth, for the lasting difference you have made in the lives of our students, staff, and families. We wish you both the very best as you begin this new chapter of retirement!
