⛳️ STATE TOURNAMENT BOUND! ⛳️

Tomorrow, the spotlight shifts to Carrington as the best golfers in Class B tee it up at the North Dakota State Golf Tournament at CrossRoads Golf Club.

Representing the Divide County Maroons will be Braxton Lindsey, who earned his trip to state with an outstanding performance at the Super Regional. Braxton battled a field of 143 golfers at the challenging Bully Pulpit Golf Course and finished 3rd overall with a score of 78, securing his spot among North Dakota's best.

From long practice rounds to pressure-packed tournament days, Braxton has put in the work all season, and now he'll have the opportunity to compete on the biggest stage. The Maroon community is proud of your dedication, determination, and success.

Attention families with students taking driver education class this summer: a reminder that this Thursday 5/28 at 8AM will be the first day of classroom. Class will be held in Mr Kolstad's room at the elementary school as the water is shut off in the high school building.

Tomorrow the Super Regional Golf Meet takes place in Medora on May 26th.

Good luck to our Divide County Maroons golfers and Coach Mr. Loper as they compete for a chance to punch their ticket to state!

Day 2 State Track Meet Recap!

It was the busiest State Track Meet Day the Maroons have had in a LONG time! DC competed in 8 events on Friday. It was filled with a lot of events and a lot of moisture with the second half of the day being rainy.

DC started the day with Cole Artman in the 300M Hurdles. Cole came ready to compete at the State Track Meet and it showed in the 300M Hurdles. He came in ranked 18th and left with a 13th place finish. On top of that he ran a LIFETIME BEST of 42.53 and re-broke the SCHOOL RECORD! Cole also competed in the Long Jump where he placed 18th out of 40. Lastly, he completed his busy day by placing 22nd in the 400M.

Paige Smithberg also had a busy day competing in both the 100M & 200M. Paige did an excellent job representing DC in the sprints. She placed 31st in the 100M. Then she proceeded to run on a soggy track during the 200M, she ran a great time in the rain 27.49 for 20th place.

Vivian Nygaard simply just keeps getting better and better. She competed in the 400M and ran a LIFETIME BEST of 1:02.12 placing 20th. She was also a part of the 4X800 team, featured below.

Jurnee Wehrman was back on the track after an awesome podium finish on Thursday in the 3200M. She competed in the 1600M running right at her lifetime best and a phenomenal time of 5:24.92. If anyone dares, go outside and run a mile...you will see just how fast a 5:24.92 mile really is.

The Maroons finished the rainy day with the 4X800 relay consisting of Skylar Wehrman, Aliza Pulvermacher, Vivian Nygaard, & Jurnee Wehrman. This team has had back-to-back State Track appearances. They are the epitome of hard work and mental toughness. The 800 is arguably one of the toughest races in track & field. They ran a time of 10:44 finishing in 19th place. Their BIG goal this season was to qualify by time in the 4X800 which they did and they are the FIRST team in DC history to do so in the 4X800.

The DC State Qualifiers & Coaches want to give Josh & Juli Bummer a big THANK YOU!! They bought the Friday night meal for the athletes & coaches. Everyone had a smile on their face while eating some tasty Blaze Pizza. Thanks again, Josh & Juli, it's people like YOU that make our community great!

Divide County Track & Field had a great first day at the State Track Meet!

It started with the 4X200 running a lifetime best with this specific line up Vivian Nygaard, Harper Lindsey, Aliza Pulvermacher, & Paige Smithberg!

Then Jurnee hit the track for the 3200M. She finished in 7th place and once again found herself on the podium! She has made the podium (top 8) for 3 STRAIGHT YEARS, that is an amazing feat!!!

DC will have a busy day today with athletes in 8 events! We are DC!!
