Today, we remember and honor a true pioneer and longtime champion of Cullman County, Mr Roy Drinkard.

He was one of the first members of the Industrial Development Board, a member of Cullman’s acclaimed Flying 50, and part of the very first industrial project that helped lay the foundation for the economic growth we see in our community today.

His impact went far beyond that first project. He played a significant role in much of the retail development you see on the south end of Cullman, bringing businesses, investment, & jobs to our community.

So much of what we enjoy in Cullman today can be traced back to people who had the vision to invest in our community and believe in its future.

Mr. Drinkard will be greatly missed, but his vision and the impact he made on Cullman will live on for generations to come.🪽🙌🏼

A bright future starts with investing in our students. 💙

Today, we were honored to attend the ribbon cutting for the new Cullman City Schools Career Tech building—an incredible investment in the next generation of innovators, problem-solvers, and workforce leaders.

It’s exciting to see both Cullman City Schools and Cullman County Schools prioritizing STEM education. With the County STEM Academy set to open for the 2028–2029 school year, our community continues to make meaningful investments that will shape the future of our students and strengthen our workforce for years to come.
