This week, Director Tim Sartin and Specialist Brent McDonald have been attending the FEMA L0110 Train the Trainer class, learning alongside FEMA instructors and emergency management professionals from across Alabama and beyond.

CCEMA is incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to host this class for growing professionals.

Training like this helps us continue to grow, share knowledge, and bring more training opportunities back to our counties. The more we learn and develop as EMA professionals, the better we can serve our communities and help prepare for the challenges that come with emergency management.

We appreciate the opportunity to be part of this training and continue working to strengthen emergency management across our state!

STREET CLOSURE NOTICE – Monday, October 19, 2026: The City of Cullman Water Department will be making infrastructure improvements on Olive Street SW between Highway 31 and Olive Drive. This work will require a street closure on Monday, October 19, from 6:30 AM until approximately 12:30 PM.

Emergency vehicles WILL NOT be able to pass through the affected area. Motorists should plan accordingly and use alternate routes.

* WHAT...Northeast winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 to 50 mph.

* WHERE...Cullman, Madison, Morgan, DeKalb, Jackson, and Marshall
Counties.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

..HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM SATURDAY TO 7 AM CDT
SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Southeast winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 60 mph
expected.

* WHERE...Cullman, Madison, Morgan, DeKalb, Jackson, and Marshall
Counties.

* WHEN...From 1 AM Saturday to 7 AM CDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles.
