The City of Cumberland is accepting applications for the part-time positions of Code Enforcement Officer and Parking Enforcement Officer!
These are part-time positions, with a work schedule of twenty-nine (29) hours per week. The compensation for both positions is $15.50 per hour. The positions do not offer benefits, and the selected individual will be expected to sign an employment agreement.
CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Enforcing City of Cumberland ordinances, codes, and regulations; interacts with the public in regard to enforcement issues and general information matters; perform related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Applicants are required to possess a high school diploma, or GED. Applicants must have a thorough knowledge of local parking laws and ordinances, and the ability to navigate the City of Cumberland efficiently. Applicants must maintain a valid drivers license and pass a civilian police employee background check.
PARKING ENFORCEMENT OFFICER

Applications for both positions may be obtained from the City Hall Receptionist, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Applications can also be found on the City of Cumberland website. Completed applications are to be returned to the Human Resource Office prior to September 24, 2026 at 3:00 PM. A physical examination will be required prior to employment.
