The Cumberland Democratic Town Committee is deeply saddened by the passing of our friend and longtime member, John Bessette.

John dedicated so much of his life to serving Cumberland — through the Democratic Town Committee, the Zoning Board, youth sports, St. Joseph’s Church, and countless community efforts. He was kind, welcoming, hardworking, and truly loved this town.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the entire Bessette family and all who knew and loved him. John’s impact on our community will not be forgotten.

Rest in peace, John. 💙
