We opened our new doors on January 9, 2017 and have been busy with patrons daily!

The month of September is our Adult Reading Contest so pick up your reading log at the library starting September 1st. There will be a special prize for our top reader!

We are excited to partner with the Burlington Public Library as they are featuring the “Americans and the Holocaust” exhibition August 19 - September 30. If you attend their exhibit, you will receive a voucher to visit our Anne Frank Museum and Railcar in Danville.
It is a wonderful time to explore both of these important educational experiences. We hope to see you soon!

How many of us get up every morning and turn on the television to listen to our favorite daytime hosts? Whether it be Good Morning America, The Today Show, Fox News, or even Mike Rowe. We have their best seller books to check out here at the Danville Library! Come in and read their stories.

Selections include”Mostly What God Does” by Savannah Guthrie, “Faith Still Moves Mountains” by Harris Faulkner, “Everything Will Be Okay” by Dana Perino, “Jump and find Joy” by Hoda Kotb, “Nothing Is Impossible with God” by Shannon Bream, “The Way I Heard It” by Mike Rowe, “The Enemy at the Gate” by Diane Sawyer, and “The Miracles Among Us” by Dr. Marc Siegel.

In memory of Nancy Martin, our dedicated Library Director, the Library and Anne Frank Museum will be closed on Tuesday, July 28 for her funeral.

Reading program schedule for the week:
❤️ Monday-Bonus sticker day if you wear 2 of the following: red, white, or blue.
🤍 Tuesday- Stortytime with Ms Tammy at 11:00 plus snack and craft. ‼️
💙 Wednesday- Write a paragraph about a president with a USA pen, keep the pen, and earn a USA pin, too!
❤️ Thursday- Patriotic coloring page for a bonus sticker.
🤍 Friday- Come in and read for 20 mins to get a bonus sticker.
💙Saturday- Storyhour 📖. Accompanied by snack and craft, as usual. Pick a prize of your choice. 🎉

This week’s activities for the Read, White, and Blue summer reading program:
❤️ Monday - Come at 2:30 and learn about each state’s biggest secret. 50 states, 50 surprises! Bonus sticker and pick a prize for all participants.
🤍 Tuesday - Complete a sticker painting and receive 2 bonus stickers.
💙 Wednesday - Come in and read for 20 minutes to earn a bonus sticker and pocket constitution.
❤️ Thursday - Show us your reading log for a bonus sticker.
🤍 Friday - Come in and write the states you have been to with a USA pen you can keep!
💙 Saturday- Check out a book from our USA display and add a sticker to your poster.
