Denver Children's Advocacy Center PREVENT ABUSE - STRENGTHEN FAMILIES - RESTORE CHILDHOOD Our mission is to Prevent Abuse, Strengthen Families and Restore Childhood.

We accomplish our mission with integrated, research-based programming, a dedicated professional staff and volunteer board, the support of countless community partners, and individuals like you who understand the importance of our work. DCAC’s programs fall along a continuum of care that includes prevention, early childhood intervention, crisis response, forensic interviews, mental health treatment, and family support services. Children and families access the services they need at any point in the continuum. We serve children in their homes, their schools and early learning centers, through telehealth, and at our child-friendly campus on Federal Boulevard. Understanding the many challenges our families face (for example: lack of transportation, distance, time) DCAC decided to offer services at various satellite offices in 2015 as well. Our Rapid Response professionals are there when children and families need us most, conducting specialized forensic interviews, supporting families through difficult moments, and working alongside law enforcement, the DA's office, and other partners to help ensure children are heard, protected and connected to support.

Starting Clays for Kids off right this Friday!

A big thank you to Cinn-A-Brew and Barry Henderson, our Clays for Kids Breakfast Sponsors! Before our teams head out on the course, they’ll be fueled up and ready for a great day!

As part of Junior League of Denver's 10th Anniversary LUVS Day of Service, volunteers spent a Saturday making a big difference across our campus!

The group assembled approximately 80 snack kits, created cleaning kits and overnight backpacks for our Family Market, deep-cleaned therapy rooms and waiting areas, and even began a new flower mural on one of our fences that future volunteer groups will help complete. We were amazing with all they did for the kids and families in our care 💙

A HUGE THANK YOU to AJM Framers, Inc. and Tract Interiors for stepping up as $10,000 Champion Sponsors of this year’s Clays for Kids.

Their extraordinary support helps Denver Children’s Advocacy Center provide children and families a safe and welcomingp lace to go when a child experiences abuse or witnesses a traumatic event. Did you know? Hispanic Heritage Month begins on September 15th for a reason.

September 15th marks the anniversary of independence for five Latin American countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua, followed closely by Mexico on Sept 16th and Chile on Sept 18th.

The federal observance uses the term "Hispanic", historically referring broadly to people in the U.S. with cultural or ancestral connections to Spanish-speaking countries. Hispanic Heritage Month is an opportunity to recognize the histories, cultures and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities across the United States.

At Denver Children’s Advocacy Center, that celebration also reminds us of the importance of making sure every child and family feels seen, heard and understood.

Through bilingual services, culturally responsive care, prevention education and partnerships throughout our community, we work to make support accessible to Denver’s diverse children and families, not just during Hispanic Heritage Month, but all year long.

This month, we celebrate the cultures, traditions, voices and contributions that make our community stronger. 💙
