Centerre Construction is hosting an exclusive, one-day hiring event to staff a landmark historic rehabilitation project at Mesa Verde National Park. We are seeking skilled Carpenters and dependable Laborers to restore and upgrade the iconic Chapin Mesa Archaeological Museum and surrounding National Park Service residences.

• Date: Wednesday, June 17th, 2026

• Time: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• Location: Cortez Workforce Center (22 W. North St, Cortez, CO)

Open Positions & Project Scope

This long-term project kicks off approximately July 1, 2026, with an estimated completion in early 2028. The schedule for both roles is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.

Position Pay Rate Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

Experienced Carpenter: $30.00 – $45.00 / hr (DOE) Perform rough and finish carpentry, historic wood restoration, window/door upgrades, framing, and cabinetry. 5+ years of experience (historic restoration preferred), ability to read blueprints, and a strong eye for craftsmanship. OSHA 10 is a plus.

Construction Laborer:$21.00 / hr Support carpenters and trades with material handling, demolition, site cleanup, and outdoor prep work. Great entry-level opportunity! Construction experience is preferred but not required. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and have a positive attitude.

General Requirements for All Roles: Reliable transportation, dependable attendance, ability to understand/communicate in English, and the ability to pass a background check and standard drug screen (Note: Pre-employment screening does NOT test for THC).

In Colorado, we are leading the way and supporting accessible travel. Our Colorado Tourism Office (CTO) partners with Wheel the World on the Accessible Travel Program, which helps destinations assess, improve, and promote accessibility for travelers with disabilities and their companions.
