🚒 Not every call is a fire. Not every call is EMS. 🚑

Yesterday, our crew responded to a rescue involving a man lift that had malfunctioned and become stuck in the air.

One of the unique things about the fire service is that you never know what the next call is going to be. Fires, medical emergencies, rescues, hazardous situations, and sometimes things that don’t fit neatly into any category.

That’s why we train for all hazards and expect the unexpected.

Thankfully, the situation was resolved safely, and everyone made it back to the ground. 👏

🥎🚒🚓 Guns & Hoses is Back! 🚓🚒🥎

Think you've seen competition between first responders before?

Join us on Saturday, June 6 at DCB&T Ballpark as members of the Dickinson Fire Department, Dickinson Police Department - North Dakota, Dickinson Rural Fire Department, the Stark County Sheriff's Office North Dakota in their guns and hoses for bats and gloves.

Come out and cheer on your local first responders as we battle it out for bragging rights in a "friendly" game of softball. (And by friendly, we mean highly competitive with plenty of trash talk.)

We will be hosting our annual GUNS & HOSES softball game at DCB&T Ballpark on Saturday, June 6 at 2:00 PM featuring some of our local First Responders! Come check out the Dickinson Fire Department, Dickinson Police Department - North Dakota, Dickinson Rural Fire Department and the Stark County Sheriff's Office North Dakota as they participate in a "Friendly" game of softball! Gates open at 1:30 PM, first pitch at 2:00 PM. FREE admission for all! Thank you to all our First Responders for keeping our community safe!

☀️🚒 100 feet in the air on a beautiful Tuesday morning.

Moments like this are a reminder to slow down for a second and appreciate where you’re at. The view looks a little different from up here, but so does perspective.

Not every day is easy. Not every call is light. But there’s still something special about getting to do this job, serve this community, and watch the sun come up over Dickinson.

Best job in the world. 💪🔥

🇺🇸💪 It’s become a bit of a tradition around here. 💪🇺🇸

Every Memorial Day, members of our crew take on the Murph Challenge in honor of Navy SEAL Lt. Michael P. Murphy and all those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

1-mile run�100 pull-ups�200 push-ups�300 squats�1-mile run

Some wear a 20 lb vest. Some just try to survive it.

At the end of the day, it’s not about the workout. It’s about remembering why we do it.

A small dose of discomfort is nothing compared to the sacrifices made by the men and women we honor today.

We remember them, and we will never forget. 🇺🇸❤️

Today we remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Their sacrifice gave us the freedoms we enjoy every day, and today we pause to reflect on the courage, selflessness, and dedication they carried in service to others.

As you spend time with family and friends this weekend, please take a moment to remember those who never made it home.

🚑❤️ National EMS Week ❤️🚑

Paramedics come in all different types.

Different personalities.
Different backgrounds.
Different strengths.

But the one thing they all have in common is the care they have for others and their commitment to this community.

Behind every certification, patch, and uniform are countless hours spent earning licenses, completing continuing education, training, and constantly sharpening their skills to be ready when the call comes.

No matter the call, the time of day, or the challenge in front of them, they continue to show up for the people of Dickinson.

This EMS Week, we want to recognize the dedication, professionalism, and heart our paramedics bring to the job every single day.

And that’s what matters most. ❤️

🔥🚒 All the rumors are true. 🚑🔥

Starting in the Fall of the 2026-27 school year, the Bachelor’s Degree programs in Fire Science and Emergency Medical Services will officially be launching.

These programs are a partnership between Dickinson State University and Dickinson Fire Department, helping build the next generation of firefighters, paramedics, and leaders right here in western North Dakota.

The fire service and EMS continue to evolve, and higher education plays a major role in preparing professionals for the challenges ahead.

We’re excited for what’s coming and proud to be part of moving the profession forward. More details to come. 👏🚒🚑

🚓🚒 National Police Week 🚒🚓

We’ll admit it… police officers do have some pretty cool stuff.

The gadgets.
The gear.
The blue lights.
The ability to carry approximately 147 things on a duty belt.

Meanwhile, we’re over here trying to figure out where we left our flashlight again.

All jokes aside, this week is about recognizing the men and women in law enforcement who serve, protect, and show up for the community every single day.

We may give each other a hard time, but the respect is real.

Happy National Police Week to all of our law enforcement partners. Stay safe out there. 🤝🚓

The moms holding it all together behind the scenes, showing up every day, answering the late-night calls from their kids, supporting long shifts, packed schedules, and everything life throws at them.
