We are pleased to announce the return of Pegasus Illuminations in partnership with the DSU Henry Biesiot Activities Center for our fireworks display on Saturday, July 4th!

The BAC will open at 9PM, the show begins at 10PM, and it will be visible throughout west Dickinson and beyond. The fireworks are launched from the nearby practice football field. The stadium proved to be a great place to view the show in 2025.

The show is a 'pyromusical', meaning that the visual display is synced with music played through the stadium PA system. Spectators outside the stadium can sync the audio through FM radio. Additional details will follow.

The City of Dickinson would like to share an important reminder regarding upkeep at the public cemetery:

🌷Decoration Guidelines
From May 18 to June 8, there are no restrictions on decorations.
After June 8, any decorations you wish to keep must be placed in a vase, secured on a headstone, or removed.

🚜 Summer Maintenance Season
From June 9 to October 5, only vase arrangements will be permitted, as this is our busiest mowing and trimming period.

🪴Caretaker Option
If you prefer to personally maintain a gravesite, you can complete the Cemetery Caretaker Form, found on our website under Public Works. These gravesites will be flagged, and City staff will not perform maintenance on them.

Thank you for helping us care for these sacred spaces.

With Memorial Day, Flag Day, and Independence Day all on the horizon 🇺🇸, we’d like to share this flag disposal reminder.

When an American Flag becomes worn, faded, or damaged, it should be retired respectfully

❌ Don’t throw a flag in the trash
✔️ Do fold it properly before transport 🇺🇸
✔️ Do ensure that disposal is done with respect and care 🤝

Dickinson has an American Legion depository box near the Stark County Veterans Pavilion 📍, and there will be a flag retirement ceremony to coincide with the first Bandshell concert on the evening of June 9th

Any Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) post will take retired flags as well.

At the June 2nd City Commission meeting, officers Franky Wyatt, Quinton Shriver, Hayden Moore and Taylen Mendoza of the Dickinson Police Department - North Dakota were administered their oath to serve our community.

Wyatt and Shriver are graduates of Dickinson High School.
