This is NOT a burn ban. Please burn with caution! The conditions are extremely dry and the forecast doesn’t show rain for the next 14 days. A small fire can become large and get out of hand with these conditions. If dry conditions continue there is a possibility of a burn ban. Thank you!

Meet the Firefighter:

Lance responded to by 12 of the 24 calls in the month of June! He is a Main Station Firefighter.

Lance has lived in Ripley County his whole life. He has been a firefighter for 41 years. His favorite thing to do when he is not fighting fire is spending time with family and enjoying Current River. Lance’s favorite food is BBQ.

Lance has spent most his life training and fighting fire. He also takes care of Ripley County EMA.

Lance was awarded a $50 gift card!

Since I cannot comment on the post. There are only a few companies that offer fire insurance in general and the department utilizes the cheapest option available to save money. Nace is retired and shelter doesn’t offer the coverage.
