FOOD TRUCKS?

Eagle River/Chugiak Parks and Recreation is exploring the addition of a new weekly food truck event at Eagle River Town Square Park this summer.

Recognizing that many local mobile vendors already have established commitments throughout the week during the summer, we are currently targeting Wednesdays to help avoid conflicts.

We are reaching out to gauge vendor interest in a Wednesday schedule. We would appreciate your feedback on the following:
- Would a Wednesday lunchtime or evening schedule align better with your availability?
- Are there specific site logistics or operational details you would need from the park space?

If you are an existing vendor who is interested in participating or have any feedback on how we can make this a successful community event, please let us know. Comment below, message us, call 907-343-1500 or email [email protected].

We will follow up with more concrete details regarding space availability and exact times once we assess initial interest.

Almost 100 volunteers from the Teen Believe Center helped get Schroeder Park ready for summer this morning! An amazing example of folks from the community helping to make where they live a better place!❤️👊💪

The sunny weather brought some new green in Schroeder Park and we're not just talking about budding leaves. The first layer of paint went down on the new pickleball courts. Weather permitting the blocking and lines will be finished next week 🤞

The basketball nets were installed at Town Square Park yesterday morning. They have seen almost non-stop action! It was hard to find a free moment to take some pictures 😂

We are hiring for seasonal park maintenance staff. Duties including mowing and general park maintenance. It's a perfect summer job.

We are also hiring for two new Recreation Specialists. These new positions will help with the summer programming we have planned and for events like Boo the Beach.
