A burn ban was issued yesterday for all of Metcalfe County. No open burning is allowed until the burn ban is lifted.

UPDATE: We have been told he has been located safely

From LaRue County Emergency Management Director Mike Cottrell:

A Golden Alert has been issued for Carl Lawler, 74 year old male, last seen at his residence in LaRue County on December 2, 2025 around 3 a.m. Mr. Lawler was believed to be traveling to Louisville for work at Kentucky Manufacturing.

His last known location was in Oak Ridge, Tennessee traveling on S. Illinois Avenue per Flock cameras.

Mr. Lawler is operating a Red 2011 Toyota Corolla, license plate number B3W255

He is described as 5 foot, 9 inches and 170 pounds. White male, only clothing description is dark blue work pants.
