We would like to thank Applied Digital for the grant funding to Dickey County.

From the Dickey County Park Board.
The grant money will reduce the financial burden of the county park board, enabling the purchase of highway tourism signs for the county parks in Dickey County. They will be placed on Highway 281 and Highway 11. Having signs visible on the highways is a great tool to improve use of our county parks while increasing visitors to shop in our county. Both Pheasant Lake and Wilson Dam have many things to offer, such as fishing, outdoor grilling, and picnic shelters.

The funding will be used to help in many aspects in finding victims of Amber Alerts and Silver Alerts. The system has the ability to help Emergency Services in providing information to be used for community alerts and notifications. It will aid in supplementing our responders with critical real-time information in aiding the response personnel to provide care.

The Dickey County Commission made a motion to close the offices at 4:00 PM tomorrow, May 6, 2026, due to the planned power shut-off by MDU. This may not affect us, but we are taking precautionary steps in case to ensure the safety of our equipment.

Dickey County seeks applicants for summer help at the Dickey County Highway Department. Must have a class D Driver’s License. The Dickey County Auditor's office is looking for people interested in working on election day in Ellendale or Oakes. Training is done the week before the election. You need to be 16 years old or older and live in Dickey County.
The Primary Election is June 9th. If you are interested contact the Auditor's office at 349-8303 or e-mail us at [email protected]. If June 9th doesn't work but you could help at the General election (November 3rd), let us know that when you call. Thank you.

The public hearing that was scheduled for tonight, February 18, 2026, is postponed until March 3, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Archery Building in Ellendale. The meeting that is scheduled in Oakes, February 24, 2026, at 6:00 PM, is still on as scheduled.
