Elmore Fire Department, along with neighboring departments, is responding to a structure fire in the 1200 block of Hwy 143. Due to emergency activity in the area, please use an alternate route if possible and be sure to yield to all emergency vehicles.

County fire departments have operated on the same county fire fee amount since 2005. The vote on November 4th would provide funds through a to***co and v**e tax to address this need. The vote is required by our state’s constitution since a to***co tax is proposed to be enacted.

Elmore County officials are already seeing some funding for Enhance Elmore. They are trying to educate the public on other measures yet to be decided as discussions about it have been ongoing for more than a year.
