Two weeks ago, one of our own EMT's, Tara Apgar, had the opportunity to participate in a public relations and educational event at Bethlehem Area Vocational-Technical School (BAVTS), where students received a hands-on learning experience with emergency medical services.
A special thank you to Captain Michael Leaser for coordinating the visit and allowing our ambulance to be part of the day's activities. Captain Leaser shared that he thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and the students expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to explore the ambulance firsthand.
Throughout the event, students learned about EMS operations, equipment, and patient care while participating in realistic scenarios that allowed them to apply what they learned in a practical setting. It was rewarding to see such enthusiasm and engagement from the next generation of healthcare and public safety professionals.
Thank you to the staff and students at BAVTS for welcoming us. We look forward to continuing to support educational opportunities that inspire and prepare future first responders.
Great job, Tara! π
