Hmmm….sold out by our legislature AND congressional delegation?

Just a reminder, most West Virginians live in rural areas.

You mean the same resolution that declared unwavering support for the SAVE Act that will knowingly create voting hurdles for married women across the country?

Tell me you’re disingenuous without telling me you’re disingenuous.

🚨194 Dems voted against a resolution denouncing and condemning socialism today. 194!!!

When someone tells you who they are, believe them. Dems are telling you exactly who they are - radical leftist SOCIALISTS. Believe them.

YES: Michigan Sen. Elissa Slotkin just laid out her plan for the Supreme Court — and tied it straight to the biggest fight in Congress over money in politics.

Slotkin wants justices capped at 18 years on the bench, with mandatory retirement at 75, whichever comes first.

Right now, there's no cap at all.

Justices are serving an average of 26 years — more than six presidential terms — which means one administration can lock in a majority that outlasts every president who comes after it.

Almost every state already does this.

Forty-seven states cap how long their own top judges can serve. The U.S. Supreme Court is one of the last institutions in the country still handing out lifetime power with no expiration date.

Slotkin's case: "we're not stuck forever and ever with the same group of people," seated for life by whichever president happened to get the vacancy.

She's tying it to a bigger push — banning corporate campaign spending, forcing dark money donors to disclose, ending partisan gerrymandering.

Her argument: none of it matters if a handful of justices can undo all of it with one ruling.

Term and age limits for the Court poll well across party lines. Getting Republicans to actually vote for anything Democrats propose is the hard part.

For me, it’s the books.

More than 300 million put into the little hands of children for free. 🦋

Dolly Parton just wanted every child, no matter how poor, to be able to read. She knew a book can be a doorway—out of poverty, out of isolation, out of hopelessness.

And she never forgot the communities that raised her.

Her music in itself was amazing, but it’s her humanity that’s ineffable.

Her coat of many colors truly was beautiful.

If you know someone with a child under the age of five, please share this link.

Rest in Peace Ms. Dolly. 🦋

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails free books to children from birth until they begin school in participating areas.

Two beehives. One Supreme Court case. A question that reaches far beyond one backyard. 🐝

Hives for Heroes Mentor Alex Urban’s fight to responsibly keep two honey bee colonies has reached the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals.

And when the implications of his case grew beyond his own backyard, Hives for Heroes stood with him.

Alongside the West Virginia Beekeepers Association, Hives for Heroes submitted an amicus brief in support of Alex’s case and responsible beekeeping across the state.

Because this is bigger than two hives.

It’s about what place responsible beekeeping should have in our communities and how we balance education, accountability and reasonable standards without defaulting to blanket prohibition.

Two hives started this case. What happens next could shape beekeeping in West Virginia for years to come.
