🚨 Status Quo Politics 🚨

Nearly 1000 pages of bills passed through at the 11th hour today. Many of these bills we didnt even get to see until just a few hours before we are to take a vote. This is not how government is supposed to work, backroom deals and a select few make all the decsions while the rest are left in the dark. I refuse to be a rubber stamp for what the gatekeepers here at the Capitol decide. These bills were easy NO votes for me. The people of Minnesota deserve better then this.

I was happy to be a YES vote on this stand alone bill!! Thank you Rep. Peggy Bennett for your work on this bill!

I was happy to be a YES vote on this stand alone bill!! Thank you Rep. Peggy Bennett for your work on this bill!

I am so excited to announce that my anti-grooming bill (HF3489 - which will help keep our children safe from sexual groomers) has officially passed the MN Legislature with 100% bipartisan support and is on its way to the Governor’s desk. What a blessing! Thank you to Senator Maye Quade, who did an awesome job carrying the bill in the Senate, and testifiers Hannah LoPresto and Detective Chad Clausen for all the hard work in getting this bill across the finish line. Yay!

🇺🇸 SHALL. NOT. BE. INFRINGED. 🇺🇸

House Dems just rammed HF5140 the most extreme gun-grabbing bill in the entire country straight to the floor.

This isn’t “common sense” safety. It’s a full-on assault weapon ban, magazine restrictions, ghost gun crackdown, and more red tape designed to disarm law-abiding Minnesotans while criminals laugh.
I will NOT waver.

I will NEVER stop defending the 2nd Amendment.
Our God-given right to keep and bear arms is non-negotiable. Period.

Last year I was the ONLY house member who voted NO on the pension bill that stripped long-term care benefits away from our first responders.

Yesterday, I voted NO on HF4074 for the exact same reason: this bill does nothing to fix or restore the long-term care our police, firefighters, and EMS personnel were promised and deserve.

These men and women run toward danger every single day. The least we can do is make sure they have the care they need if that danger catches up with them. Leaving them without it is simply unacceptable.

I know our first responders were upset with the pension bill last year and I'm confident they will be again because nothing changed. They have to go to work everyday knowing that they're one accident away from not getting the care they need, especially if they are over 55. That is UNACCEPTABLE

I will keep fighting until this wrong is made right. I stand behind my vote and will continue to fight for what is right. People can attack my vote/s all they want, I've proven in my time in office I represent the people of 58B and not the "stakeholders" or "special interest" and I take pride in that.

The STATUS QUO and establishment in our government is exactly whats wrong with it, I didn't come to St. Paul to be apart of that. I refuse to ride the merry go round, I came to fix it. I am proud and humbled to represent this district and I will do it with the utmost principle and courage that I possibly can.

Happy Mother's Day!

🚨DEMOCRATS WANT YOUR GUNS🚨

DFL-controlled Senate rammed through SF 4067 (34-33 party-line vote) This is the most sweeping anti-gun omnibus bill in state history. Democrats call this bill “common-sense safety.” There is no such thing, It’s a direct attack on law-abiding gun owners.

Here’s what it does:

●Bans semiautomatic weapons (that’s your AR-15s, AKs, and most modern sporting rifles).

â—ŹBans "large-capacity magazines" (over 17 rounds).

●Bans new sales by gun shops and cracks down on “ghost guns,” homemade fi****ms, and even 3D-printed files.

â—ŹForces registration of your existing guns with the state (certificate of ownership required or they become illegal).

â—ŹExpands extreme risk protection orders (red flag laws) and more.

Democrats claim it’s about “violence prevention,” but this is the same playbook: make ownership so restricted, tracked, and burdensome that it’s effectively confiscation by regulation. Your rifles, your standard magazines, your ability to defend yourself and your family, all targeted.

I will defend your 2A rights all day EVERYDAY.

🇺🇸 Honored with a Perfect 100% Score on the John Birch Society Freedom Index 🇺🇸

Thrilled to share that I received a perfect 100% score on the John Birch Society’s latest Freedom Index!

This recognition is based solely on how faithfully my votes align with the U.S. Constitution, exactly what every legislator should be measured by. I’m deeply honored to be awarded the Legislative Scorecard Constitution Award.

A huge thank you to the John Birch Society for the work they do. Grateful to everyone who continues to demand constitutional government. Let’s keep fighting for liberty!

The Minnesota House has taken a necessary step to crack down on fraud by passing legislation to create an independent Office of the Inspector General. Learn more in this week's legislative update.

With only one week left in the 2026 legislative session, we are seeing dozens of bills a day on the House floor, and I expect that will continue until the legislature is required to adjourn next Sunday evening at 11:59 p.m., if not before.
