CITY OF FESSENDEN!!! This week April 27th through May 1st is North Dakota Severe Weather Awareness Week. All weather sirens within the City of Fessenden will be tested on Friday, May 1st, at 3pm.

Governor Armstrong issued a proclamation that this week is Severe Weather Awareness Week, and each day will focus on a different threat.

Last night, we shut down Vine Ave to conduct hose testing. From checking hose performance and hydrant pressure to keeping our equipment current, everything we do plays a role in our ISO rating—which directly impacts homeowners insurance premiums. Fessenden Fire is currently rated 5 out of 10, and we work diligently to maintain that rating in order to best protect our community and its property.

Thank you everyone that came out and voted today for our mill levy increase. The preliminary results are 98 yes and 88 no.

Please take a moment today between 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM to vote on the proposed mill levy increase for the construction of a new fire hall. An updated facility will help maintain our ISO rating, which can contribute to keeping homeowners insurance premiums lower, and will provide the space and flexibility needed to accommodate more modern, larger fire trucks. Voting will be at Fessenden City Hall. We greatly appreciate the community's support.

With the inclement weather forecast, we have made the decision to cancel our remaining Fish Fry for tomorrow to avoid people being out and about during the weather. Thank you for everyone who supported our Fish Fry events this year.

Tonight at training we worked on ladders. We went over how to rescue off of them and stabilize if needed to.
