Lake Township in Newton County was hit by a tornado yesterday resulting in fatalities and injuries. We are sending our best wishes and prayers to Trustee Nikki Hanger and their fire department as they work through the extensive damage. Emergency aid is on site but there is limited information available right now.

The sheriff and fire chief are asking people to stay away from the community of Lake Village as first responders work.
