2026 has been a busy year for the SNAP-Ed Garden Program at Ascentria! Join us in taking a few minutes to look at what we have accomplished together. From building new raised beds to planting gardens using the Square Foot Garden Method, participants learned so many gardening skills. Our lessons also included harvesting instructions, nutritional education and recipes.

We know that participants in the program truly appreciated these valuable lessons. Now that the gardens are planted, participants will focus on harvesting and planting fall crops.

So much excitement comes from growing your own food! We hope that you will share updated photos of your success!

Today, we celebrate the dads, grandfathers, stepdads, father figures, mentors, and caregivers who have helped guide, support, and strengthen us.

Whether through encouragement, hard work, patience, laughter, or simply being there when it matters most, these individuals play such an important role in helping children and families grow, thrive, and feel supported.

We are grateful to all who have stepped into these roles and made a lasting difference in someone's life.

We also hold space for anyone missing their fathers or loved ones today. We know this day can bring a mix of emotions, and we are thinking of you as well.

For 60 years, Making Opportunity Count has worked to eliminate barriers and create opportunities by connecting individuals and families with the supports they need to move forward.

We’re honored to have been selected to receive funding for Workforce Development from MassHire which will allow us to expand access to services that support individuals of all abilities in building skills, connecting with resources, and moving toward stability and success.

Thank you to all involved for this investment in North Central Massachusetts - We’re deeply grateful for this partnership and trust as we continue making opportunity possible for all. 💙

Great news for North Central Massachusetts! Four of our members, Catania Oils in Ayer,Little Leaf Farms in Devens, Veranova in Devens, and Making Opportunity Count in Fitchburg, were each awarded Workforce Training Fund Program grants through our partners at MassHire North Central as part of the Healey-Driscoll Administration's nearly $18 million statewide investment in workers and businesses. Together, our members received more than $454,000 to train workers, build skills, and add jobs right here in our region. Congratulations to all four!
