Genesee County 911

Genesee County 911 The 911 Communications Center is central dispatch for 29 police agencies, 19 fire departments and 4 emergency medical ambulance services across Genesee County.

Each year we direct over half a million 911 emergency calls – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Genesee County 9-1-1 Center dispatches for 26 Police, 19 Fire & 4 Ambulance services to the citizens of Genesee County, excluding the City of Fenton. New Mission Statement:

Through teamwork, we provide the highest standard emergency communication services to the public. Agency Fundamentals;

1. Do

the Right Thing - Always - Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to doing the right thing in every action you take, and in every decision, you make, especially when no one is looking. Always tell the truth, no matter the consequences. If you make a mistake, own up to it and make it right.

4. Take Ownership - Take personal responsibility for making things happen. It's never someone else's job or someone else's fault. Be resourceful and show initiative. If you see it, own it, and make sure it gets done. Don't make excuses.

5. Embrace Diverse Perspectives - Be open to learning from others, no matter what role they have and regardless of their age, background, experience or tenure with our Center. We make better decisions when we consider multiple perspectives.

Please be aware of a planned power outage for Swartz Creek and parts of Clayton Township, Gaines Township and Mundy Township starting at 11:00pm tonight until 7:00am Friday. You do not need to call 911 unless there is an emergency. Contact Consumers Energy for any questions.

Consumers Energy will be temporarily cutting the power to more than 500 customers in Gratiot County later this month.

We are getting numerous calls to investigate smoke in Genesee County, it seems as if the smoke from wildfires in Canada is the cause. Please keep that in mind when calling 911, and if you’re not sure do not hesitate to call and we will send the fire department out to investigate.
