Congratulations to our June Hornet Award winner - Victoria Boyd, Armstrong Middle School teacher!
Excerpt from nomination:
"Victoria truly does it all. While her primary role is teaching, her impact extends far beyond the classroom walls. She is a dedicated member of our Leadership Team, an enthusiastic sponsor of Student Senate, a trusted chaperone for the 8th Grade Washington, D.C. trip, a coach for multiple sports, and the driving force behind many of the social events that help make AMS a positive and connected community.
What makes Victoria especially deserving of the Hornet Award is not simply the number of hats she wearsβit is the passion, energy, and commitment she brings to every one of those roles. Whether she is teaching a lesson, cheering on student-athletes, organizing an event, leading student leaders, or supporting colleagues, she consistently gives her very best. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and her positive attitude helps create an environment where both students and staff thrive.
Students naturally gravitate toward Victoria because she has a remarkable ability to make each child feel seen, valued, and important. She builds genuine relationships, celebrates student successes, and inspires confidence in those around her. Her influence reaches students from all backgrounds and interests, making a lasting impact on the culture of our school.
Victoria represents what it means to be a Hornetβcommitted, caring, hardworking, and student-centered. Her dedication to Armstrong Middle School is evident in everything she does, and our school community is stronger because of her efforts. For her unwavering service, leadership, and positive influence, Victoria Boyd is a truly deserving recipient of the Hornet Award."
