Violet, Velma and Victory Njiyang, triplets and U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers from W.J. Keenan High School in Columbia, South Carolina, complete Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, in the final episode of “U.S. Army Journey: The Njiyang Sisters.”

Episode 3, “Becoming Soldiers and Citizens,” follows the sisters through the final weeks of training as they face physical and mental challenges, build confidence and resilience, complete r***e marksmanship, the Army Fitness Test and other culminating training events, and prepare to become Soldiers.

Their journey reaches another milestone when the sisters take the oath of citizenship and become U.S. citizens before completing Basic Combat Training. They later emerge through the smoke during Family Day, reunite with their mother and graduate as U.S. Army Soldiers.

The Njiyang sisters participated in the Army’s Split Training Option, which allows eligible Army Reserve and Army National Guard recruits to complete Basic Combat Training before returning home to finish high school and later attend Advanced Individual Training.

Exploring innovation, discovering opportunities and experiencing the Army firsthand! 🇺🇸🌾

Today, Recruiters from the 3rd Recruiting Brigade engaged with FFA delegates during workshops hosted by the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps and U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. The workshops provided opportunities for delegates to explore how their interests and experience in agriculture, veterinary science and drone technology can translate into specialized Army career opportunities.

The excitement continued at the Army exhibits, where the 4th Infantry Division band performed center stage. Our Recruiters and other Army organizations such as U.S. Army Cadet Command, U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit, U.S. Army Reserve Command, 905th Military Police Department U.S. Army Special Warfare School and Center and Drill Sergeants from the U.S. Drill Sergeant Academy worked together showcasing the different capabilities the Army has through the eight interactive "Be All You Can" Challenge stations.

Cultivating future leaders and connecting agricultural talent with Army opportunities! 🇺🇸🌾

Today, Recruiters and leaders from the 3rd Recruiting Brigade engaged with attendees at the 99th National FFA Convention & Expo at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. The event is expected to attract more than 70,000 attendees.

Recruiters spoke with delegates, educators, counselors and representatives from agricultural organizations. Their discussions highlighted how technical knowledge, leadership experience and problem-solving skills developed through agricultural education can translate into more than 200 Army career opportunities.

Brig. Gen. Wilkem Mollfulleda, deputy commanding general-support, U.S. Army Recruiting Division, also attended the convention, touring Army exhibits and speaking with Recruiters and delegates from the John Hardin High School FFA chapter in Kentucky. The chapter recently earned national three-star recognition through the National FFA Organization's National Chapter Award Program for its achievements in agricultural education and leadership development.

By connecting with these future leaders, Army Recruiters are helping students and educators discover how agricultural experience can open doors to career opportunities in the Army beyond the classroom.

Cultivating the next generation of American leaders! 🇺🇸🌾

- Yesterday, leaders from the U.S Army Recruiting Division and the Indianapolis Recruiting Battalion command team engaged with over 400 delegates at the National Future Farmers of America delegate dinner event, inside the Grand Ballroom at The Westin Indianapolis. Highlighting the shared principles of inclusivity, purpose-driven service, leadership development and career opportunities that connect the Army's mission with the values of agricultural education.

In addition, CW5 LaShon P. White, command chief warrant officer, U.S. Army Reserve Command, also spoke to the delegates as a guest speaker. CW5 White emphasized their important responsibilities as decision-makers within their state FFA associations, where their leadership helps shape organizational policies, strengthen partnerships and influence member engagement.

He also mentioned, much like the Army, FFA develops leaders through responsibility, teamwork, discipline and service. Whether leading agricultural initiatives, strengthening communities or pursuing careers in the military, these young leaders demonstrate the potential to make a meaningful difference. 🇺🇸🌾

Docendo Discimus; By Teaching, We Learn!

Brig. Gen. Sara Dudley, commanding general, U.S. Army Recruiting Division, hosted a ceremony today welcoming the Retention and Recruiting College to USARD at the Recruiting and Retention College on Fort Knox, Kentucky. Soldiers assigned to the Recruiting and Retention College donned their new shoulder sleeve insignia, also known as a unit patch, as the Recruiting and Retention College now operates as a brigade-level asset under the U.S. Army Recruiting Division.

The Recruiting and Retention College has remained at the forefront of training, adapting to educational and social changes to provide the most current doctrine, methods and concepts to the Recruiting force since July 1, 1983, guided by the motto, "Docendo Discimus; by teaching!, we learn!"

"I absolutely recognize your official return to the best division in the entire U.S. Army," Dudley said. "I am excited to once again share the same patch, the same mission and our shared contribution to what we owe the nation’s army and the leading ground force in the world."
