💚 Families of Youth Support Group (Starting virtually on August 12th) - A welcoming environment where adult family members of youth with mental health conditions can exchange experiences, learn from one another, and develop connections with others navigating similar challenges and life milestones.

💚 Peer Provider Support Group (Starting virtually on August 24th) - This group is for behavioral health providers with lived mental health experience to come together, connect, and lift each other up.

💚 Women's Support Group (Starting virtually on August 26th) - This group is designed for women to gather, connect, and empower each other through shared understanding, encouragement, and support.

As a nurse, I’ve seen firsthand how critical it is to fight the stigma associated with mental illness and get folks connected to the quality care they need - especially vulnerable young people.

I was honored to participate in the Pennsylvania Regional Youth Mental Health Summit last week to connect with leaders in the mental health space and discuss how we can proactively and collaboratively respond to children and teens in crisis. I look forward to bringing these insights back to my colleagues in Harrisburg.

Looking to discover local history during America250PA? Check out Graeme Park in Horsham Township, home to the Keith House, the only surviving residence of a Colonial PA Governor.

During my visit, I learned about the families and individuals who lived on the estate, including Elizabeth Graeme, who inherited the property from her father, had a brief romance with Benjamin Franklin's son, and faced hardship when her Loyalist husband abandoned her during the American Revolution.

As measles cases reach a 35-year high in the U.S., President Trump signed an executive order this week making sweeping changes to the childhood vaccine schedule and promoting dangerous lies about vaccine efficacy.   

Our government should prioritize making healthcare more accessible and more affordable for working families. That’s my focus as a nurse and as a state senator. And that’s why I’ve introduced legislation like SB 989 and SB 1055 to make sure Pennsylvanians can access the lifesaving vaccines they need, no matter what is happening in Washington.

Save the date! Rep. Melissa Cerrato and I will host our FREE community shredding event on Saturday, September 19 from 10am-12pm (or until trucks are full) at Rose Twig Park at Windlestrae (1151 Kenas Rd, North Wales, PA).

Please limit your shredding items to three paper bags or small boxes per vehicle - and bring items for our food drive if you can!
