Join the NJ 4-H team for the World Food Prize NJ Youth Institute. It's a great opportunity for youth in grades 9-12 who are interested in exploring topics in food security! Work with a team to learn about food security issues locally and around the world, work with a mentor to write a research paper about a country and topic of your choice and present your research at the World Food Prize NJ Youth Institute held on March 3rd at Rutgers University (New Brunswick campus).

The team will meet virtually on Thursdays from 7-8pm. Sessions are recorded so attendance at all 5 sessions isn't necessary. However, attendance at the March 3rd event is mandatory. Learn more about the event at Rutgers here:

The town of Freehold currently has 12 horse sculptures on display and one of them was designed and painted by 4-H Stars and Strides member, Marguerite H! The Borough of Freehold planned the Half Mile of Horses Art Walk to beautify the town, remind everyone of the long history of horses and harness racing associated with Freehold and to encourage people to enjoy the artwork and vote for their favorite. Marguerite’s design was chosen from an open design competition and she is honored to be a part of the Art Walk.

We are saddened today to hear that Bill "Billy" Potter passed away this weekend. A former 4-H Member, 4-H Volunteer, 4-H Leader, and 4-H parent/grandparent, Bill did it all!

Bill was as thoughtful as he was kind, and could always be counted on to tell a good story or share some sage advice. He will be missed.

All our thoughts are with the Levens/Potter family.
