How fun to search for an unearth fossils from nearly 200 million years ago along the Jurassic Coast in England. This special area of coast reveals all kinds with every turn of the tide making for once in a lifetime surprises with every new surprise you find.

We found fossilized sea sponges, ammonites, belemnites, fish scales, poo (yes, really, and I know how to identify it now) with a fabulous fossil expert with us.

Though I travel a lot for work assignments, I can’t remember the last time I took an actual vacation. I’ve decided to see what that’s like for a week and I’ve landed with an exhale I didn’t expect would be so dramatic with no boxes to check, no deliverables, no interviews, no filming, no agenda. Nothing.

When you hustle as a business owner, it’s easy to forget to “step back” because of the constant churn of other priorities.

When you always have to be “on” it is foreign, and admittedly amazing to turn it all “off.” I’m looking forward to this.

I’m so sad to hear of the death of Dolly Parton. She was the most special interview of my career. It wasn’t because it took me a year to land the interview for AAA, or because I was only one of 5 interviews she granted on this occasion, or because she said I looked like ‘Jolene’ when I walked in the room.

Dolly was my favorite interview because of the beautiful and loving human that she was. She had such grace, humility and a powerful and genuine human connection with people that was ever lasting.

The UK recorded the hottest day of the year today with gagging heat during our 5th heatwave combined with drought conditions, so it’s the perfect recipe for wildfires that have broken out everywhere. The West Midlands (where we are) and Wales have new major fire incidents declared by the hour.

We don’t see any flames near us right now but there’s a strong stench of smoke blanketing us. These amazing emergency crews and firefighters are under tremendous stress. It’s honestly like inferno whack-a-mole. 🔥
