See the park after dark! Join us tomorrow, Saturday, August 22 for Fort Stevenson's Sensory Hike, part of our Evening Hike Series. As the sun sets, discover how the world changes from day to night.

Along the trail, staff-led stations will invite you to listen, touch, and see the night like nocturnal wildlife do. Small groups will depart from the Visitor Center trailhead at 9:15PM, 9:30PM, and 9:45PM.

Bring your curiosity and sense of adventure to experience the magic of the night!

We wrapped up a fantastic day with some wonderfully creative entries at tonight’s Lighted Boat Parade!

A huge thank-you to all of our participants and spectators for making the evening so much fun!

Four boats officially entered the parade, and now it’s up to you to choose the winner!

It’s National S’mores Day, so we had to take a look back at one of our favorite memories!

On May 18, 2024, our community came together to celebrate Fort Stevenson’s 50th anniversary and make a little history. We made 1,150 s’mores at the same time and officially set a Guinness World Records title!

Look what we found! If you've had a chance to walk the Flicker Loop Trail, you may have spotted a unique find nestled under the juniper trees. Attendant Gina noticed three quite large Western puffball mushrooms earlier this summer. Sizes ranged from volleyball to soccer ball.

Fun fact: they are the only mushroom that have no gills and are completely white and sponge like on the inside.

Here's your call to head out on the trails, you never know what you might see!
