Mercer County Commission updated the Fire Declaration and Burn Ban. The new fire ban will be based on the State Fire Index. The daily fire index can be found here:

Critical fire weather conditions today into this evening over most of western and parts of southern North Dakota. Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and be difficult to control.

Stay weather aware this evening. There is potential for some bad storms. Be ready to take shelter if necessary.

We are still watching the potential for numerous severe thunderstorms late this afternoon through the evening. Potential hazards include hail as large as tennis balls, damaging winds as high as 80 mph, and a few tornadoes possible. A strong tornado or two is possible, with the favored area shifted a bit north from previous updates (black outlined area).

We will be having our annual Fleischkuechla and pulled pork feed fundraiser June 28 at Littles Bar and Grill, during their parking lot party. We will start serving food at 4. So come on out and get some great food and listen to some great music! Hope to see you there!
