District crews are actively sending water down canals to restore irrigation services. It is expected complete restoration of irrigation services by end of day Thursday, August 27th.

District crews have successfully completed emergency canal repairs. Water conservation efforts for treated water customers has been lifted. Thank you your effort over the last two days to limit water use which resulted in an approximate 18 percent reduction of water use. The community efforts successfully maintained treated water production and distribution during the emergency.

Due to a leak in the Upper Canal, GDPUD is shutting off Irrigation service until we can repair the damage. The District is requesting everyone to conserve water as much as possible. Please do not irrigate or use water that is not essential until further notice. The District is working hard to get the water back on. We anticipate the water to be restored by Thursday, August 27th. We are sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding at this time.

GDPUD is currently upgrading our billing system. From August 6th - August 11th, we are UNABLE to take payments. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank our customers for their patience during this transition.

The Public Hearing scheduled for today, July 8, 2026, has been canceled to allow additional time to compile and finalize the information required for the hearing. The Urban Water Management Plan Public Hearing has been rescheduled to June 10, 2026, at 2PM at the Pilot Hill Grange, 1701 CA-193, Cool, Ca 95614. The District will also be having a townhall regarding the Strategic Plan on this date.
