Do you ever wonder why you are drawn to a particular author or series? Did you know there is a sub-genre to crime fiction? It’s called “Cozy Murder Mysteries”. Join us on the last Saturday of each month at 11:00 am at the Georgetown Library for the “Cozy Murder Mystery Book Club”.
Saturday, September 26 at 11:00 am, join us for a discussion of the cozy mystery The Secret Adversary by Agatha Christy. You can place a hold on the book at our website or call the library (530) 333-4724.

WE ARE OPEN!
The library parking lot project is finished. It looks amazing and we will not have to sandbag the walkways this winter. We are back to regular hours and programming starting today. If you see the building owners Andy and Cheryl Anderson around town, tell them thank you!

Summer Reading Challenge is wrapping up on August 31. Because of our unexpected few days of closure, Georgetown library will extend the chance to redeem your reading logs, collect prizes and raffle tickets until closing on Tuesday September 1. Raffle prizes will be drawn on September 2. The library will be open regular hours again starting on Saturday, August 29.

The August Cozy Murder Mystery book Club Scheduled for Saturday, August 29 has been cancelled. We will discuss both the August book, “Booked for Death” and the September book, “The Secret Adversary” at the September 26 meeting.

The Georgetown Library is getting a new parking lot! The paving project begins on Monday August 24 and should be wrapped up by Sunday August 30. The library will remain open for normal business hours Tuesday August 25 and Wednesday August 26. Expect limited parking and construction equipment. We ask that vehicles not be left unattended during the construction in case they need to be moved. EV charging stations may not be available. When charging, please do not drop off and leave, you must stay with your car, you can always hang out in the library during open hours. To make the job a bit easier for the paving company we are cancelling all programming during the paving project to reduce the traffic in the parking lot. Thursday August 27 and Friday August 28 the library and the parking lot will be closed. Normal hours will resume on Saturday. Call the library with any questions 530-333-4724.

Storytime Tomorrow, Wednesday August 26 is CANCELLED.

The Georgetown Library is getting a new parking lot! For the safety of our patrons and to make the job a bit easier for the paving company we are cancelling all programming during the paving project to reduce the traffic in the parking lot.
