Missing Juvenile

16-year-old Kaden Cheechi was reported missing the evening of October 15, 2026, when he left his residence located near Guadalupe and Power Roads on foot between 4:00 and 5:00 PM.

Kaden is a white male, 5’7”, 140 lbs, with blue eyes, and was last seen wearing a blue shirt, black tights, and gray slippers.

Anyone with information on Kaden’s whereabouts is asked to call Gilbert PD at 480-503-6500 and reference report #26-183126.

*As of September 12, 2026, Arizona law requires law enforcement agencies to share a flyer for a missing, kidnapped, or runaway child within 24 hours of receiving the report.

Additionally, agencies may not label a child as a “runaway” unless doing so is necessary to protect the child's safety or to support an active investigation.

Bring the whole family for a fun and creative afternoon with Gilbert PD! Join us for Crafts with a Cop on November 4 from 4:00PM-5:30PM at the Gilbert Community Center.

This drop‑in style event invites kids and families to enjoy hands-on craft activities while getting to know local officers in a friendly, relaxed setting.

Participants can make seasonal crafts, ask questions, and connect with officers who serve our community. All supplies are provided, and families are welcome to come and go at their own pace.

And yes, Cinnaholic will be there serving delicious cinnamon rolls!

Reckless riding isn’t “content.” It’s criminal and dangerous. 🚫

Gilbert PD recently identified a juvenile alleged to have posted videos of reckless riding on electric motorcycles, trespassing, disorderly behavior, and fleeing from police, while hiding his identity online. A search warrant on the linked social media account revealed multiple violations and helped connect the rider to incidents in Gilbert and Mesa.

Police served a search warrant at the residence, seizing three illegally operated electric motorcycles and electronic devices used to record the dangerous activity.

The juvenile was charged with:
Reckless Driving
Felony Flight
Disorderly Conduct
2nd Degree Trespassing

His parent was charged with:
Unlawfully Permitting a Minor to Drive

Reckless riding puts our community, drivers, and the kids themselves at serious risk. If your child rides an e‑bike, check in with them. Their safety depends on it. 🚲

Attempt to Identify | Gilbert PD Burglary Investigation

On October 13, 2026, at approximately 12:15 AM, the Gilbert Police Department received a report that the front door of Flashback Antiques, located in the 200 block of N. Gilbert Road, had been broken.

Surveillance footage showed an unidentified individual wearing a medical mask, dark-colored hoodie, beanie, and camouflage pants breaking the glass door of the business shortly before midnight on October 12.

The business owner reported that an estimated $50,000 to $60,000 in jewelry was taken.

The investigation is ongoing.

15-year-old Katherine Schow was last seen by family leaving her residence near the 4000 block of East John Street on October 12th, 2026, at 3:00 PM. Katherine is approximately 4’10, with brown hair and hazel eyes, and was last seen wearing a gray sweater, blue jeans, and black Nike shoes.

Anyone with information on Katherine’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Gilbert Police Department at 480‑503‑6500 and reference report #26-181128.
