Student leaders working together across HUSD! 🎉

Centennial Elementary Student Council invited Sossaman Middle School Student Council to help lead a school assembly filled with Cardinal spirit. Students passed out spirit gear, introduced a new school chant, and led Minute to Win It games—with students taking the win over their teachers!

Cross-campus collaboration gives students opportunities to learn from one another, build leadership skills, and strengthen connections across HUSD. 💙

Two HUSD educators are helping shape the future of Holocaust education in Arizona. 📚

Troy Emenecker of Sossaman Middle School and Alana Charnofsky of Higley High School have been selected to serve on the inaugural Educators Advisory Committee for the Hilton Family Holocaust Education Center.

Through their service on the committee, they will bring an educator's perspective to support meaningful Holocaust education and resources for students and teachers.

HUSD is proud to see our educators sharing their knowledge and experience beyond the classroom. Congratulations, Troy and Alana! 💙

Feeder School Night brought the HUSD community together at Williams Field High School! 🏈🎶

Students from Cooley Middle School, Higley Traditional Academy, Coronado Elementary, Chaparral Elementary, and Gateway Pointe Elementary were invited to show their school pride and cheer on the Black Hawks. Students wearing their school shirt even received free admission to the game!

The night was extra special for our band students, who joined the Williams Field Marching Band for a glimpse of what their musical journey could look like in high school.

Events like this help students connect with their future school and see the opportunities waiting for them as they continue their journey through HUSD. ❤️

This week's is about the upcoming HUSD Governing Board election. 🗳️

Superintendent David Loutzenheiser shares an overview of what voters will see on the November ballot. Three Governing Board positions are up for election—two for four-year terms and one for a two-year term following a Board member resignation.

Voting is one way community members can participate in responsible citizenship. HUSD encourages eligible voters to learn about what's on their ballot and make their voices heard this November.

Together, we've got this!
