This year marks the 30th Annual Gilbert Chamber of Commerce Community Excellence Awards. These awards offer a unique and special opportunity to recognize the contributions of community members in a wide variety of roles, including educators, community leaders, and volunteers. For Gilbert Public Schools, this annual event is a chance to celebrate the contributions of GPS educators, support staff, and volunteers.

As the new school year begins, students are stepping into leadership roles across Gilbert Public Schools!

1. Quartz Hill Trailblazers kicking off the new school year with STUCO Camp, learning to lead with purpose ✅🐻
2. Gilbert Elementary 4th graders created paper chains to represent the strength of their classroom team and talked about being bucket fillers by spreading kindness and lifting others. 🖇️🐯
3. Gilbert Public Schools members of the Mayor's Youth Advisory Committee helped lead For Our Town Gilbert's quarterly breakfast as community partners gathered to launch the Year of Our Youth 2026-2027. 🤲🎓
4. Ashland Ranch Third graders in Mrs.Lloyd’s class show off what they learned in second grade by walking around the room, completing tasks, and discussing their answers with a partner. Review practice at its finest! ✏️🍎
5. At Oak Tree Elementary, every day is a learning day, and their Night of Expectations was a huge success with families coming together to lead the way in learning! 🍎✏️
6. At Finley Farms Elementary, it's game on! Their 4th, 5th, and 6th graders started deep diving into math with collaboration, conversation, and problem-solving.🧮💛
