Breezy to Windy conditions developing today, especially in northeast North Dakota closer to a low over the Canadian prairies. Mostly sunny and highs mid 70s to low 80s. Sunny north to increasing clouds south on Tuesday. A few showers possible Tuesday night along South Dakota border. Sunny on Wednesday and then warming up well into the 80s Thursday with a chance for thunderstorms.

As low pressure moves east thru the southern Canadian prairies, west to southwest winds will increase into the sustained 20 to 35 mph range with gusts 45 to 50 mph. Highest wind speeds along Manitoba border and west of the Red River valley. Breezy conditions develop in southeast ND and northwest MN with gusts 25-35 mph.

240 am band of showers and t-storms continue to quickly move northeast thru northwest MN with the activity from Lake of the Woods to near Bemidji. NDAWN stations with rainfall since yesterday morning. Within the Fargo-Moorhead area trace at the airport but up to one half inch far south Fargo and south Moorhead and pockets of over 0.50 inch as well Detroit Lakes to west of Fosston. All the rain will exit the area by 5 am.

No warnings or watches are in effect as of 1212 am Monday. What we have is a weakening line of t-storms extended from south central Manitoba thru Cavalier, Grand Forks/EGF, to near Hillsboro. There are scattered thunderstorms south of this area around Fargo and into parts of northwest MN west of Bemidji.

The trend over the next 2-3 hours is for the line of storms to weaken slowly and move east-northeast thru far NW MN. Scattered t-storms will be over west central into north central MN.

Severe weather is no longer anticipated rest of the night. Any storm will contain brief heavy rain and lightning. Wind gusts 25-35 mph may occur as well. The chance for rain will end by 6 am.

A line of thunderstorms is expected to work east across North Dakota this evening through the overnight with the potential for winds of 60-70 mph and hail up to 1 inch. An isolated tornado is possible. Remember to have multiple ways to receive warnings if needed.

Temperatures today and the next few days will run near to slightly above normal. Scattered storms today, then a higher chance tonight as a line of storms move through. Risk of severe storms. Clearing and windy on Monday, with gusts 35 to 40 mph in northeast North Dakota.

3 am radar... There is one area of thunderstorms and showers lifting north-northeast out of Bismarck area and will reach parts of the Devils Lake to Minot area toward 5 am. There is a strong storm as well in northeast South Dakota south of Aberdeen moving more east and will stay south of the ND border.
