As a cold front moves eastward into Minnesota this afternoon, scattered thunderstorms will develop, some of which will be severe. There is a level 2 out of 5 severe risk for parts of northwest and north central Minnesota roughly Roseau to Wadena and points east. Main threats will be hail up to golf balls and wind gusts up to 75 mph. An isolated tornado is possible. In addition an isolated severe storm cannot be ruled over for parts of the Red River valley and west central Minnesota early to mid afternoon. Storms will exit the area before sunset.

315 am radar.... line of t-storms continues to track east and northeast thru northwest into central Minnesota. Overall trends are showing a weakening trend with wind speeds. But these storms contain frequent lightning and for campers and those in RVs this does pose a hazard. The storms will be moving thru Lake of the Woods and the Upper and Lower Red Lake region, Cass Lake areas through 5 am.

245 am Wednesday.... Severe storm threat has ended for eastern North Dakota including Grand Forks and Fargo. Severe storm threat continues for areas east of the Red River.

The tornado warning for parts of Norman into Polk county from Lockhart to Beltrami has been cancelled. The circulation with this has weakened. We did have a report of funnel cloud with this system in Norman county.
