We’re excited to welcome Ms. Shaikh to our SPED team! She is coming from Cannon and excited to work with our stars!

“Hello GES! 👋 My name is Ms.Nida Shaikh, and I’m so excited to join the Grapevine Elementary family as a Special Education Paraprofessional!

I hold a Master of Education in Special Education with an ABA emphasis from Arizona State University, and I’m currently working toward my BCBA certification. Before joining Grapevine Elementary, last year I spent time at Cannon Elementary, right here in the same wonderful district. I also have two years of experience working as a Registered Behavior Technician in an ABA clinic, helping kids build developmental, emotional, and social skills and reach their goals.

Outside of school, you’ll usually find me spending time with my nieces, nephews, and siblings. They keep me on my toes and remind me daily why I love working with kids!

I can’t wait to get to know our students, families, and staff this year. Here’s to a great year of growth, connection, and celebrating every win, big or small! 💛”

“My name is Bonnie Riski and I am a returning GES star! This is my 10th year to teach. All three of my children are GCISD students. Both of my boys are in high school and my little girl is in 3rd grade. I am so excited about being a Pre-K teacher this year and having the opportunity to pour into those littles!”

Plot twist… the office team never stopped being excited! 😄⭐

We’re back together, the countdown is ON, and we’re ALMOST READY for our GES Stars to fill these hallways again!

Only a few more days until the first day of school on Wednesday, August 12. We can’t wait to welcome our returning Stars and meet all of our newest ones. It’s going to be a GREAT year! 💙✨
