! Let's beat the heat.

South Florida summer temperatures can be dangerous. Stay safe by following these simple tips:

💧 Drink plenty of water
🌳 Take breaks in the shade or air conditioning
👕 Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing
🚗 Never leave children or pets in a vehicle
👵 Check on elderly family members and neighbors
⚠️ Signs of heat illness include dizziness, headache, nausea, excessive sweating, and confusion.

If someone shows signs of heat stroke, call 911 immediately. Be safe out there!

We are honored to receive the Education Impact Award from the Safety Council of Palm Beach County during this weeks 40th Annual Traffic Safety Awards on behalf of Greenacres and for the volunteers who participated in the crash reenactment at John I Leonard High School.

This recognition highlights our commitment to educating young drivers and raising awareness about the life-changing consequences of impaired and distracted driving through our crash reenactment project.

By bringing these important lessons to life, we hope to empower students to make safe choices behind the wheel in and help create a safer community for everyone.

Thank you to the Safety Council of Palm Beach County for this meaningful recognition and to all of our partners who help make this program possible.

What a great turnout! Our Hands Only CPR class saw record sign-ups, with community members taking an important step toward being prepared when every second counts.

Sometimes the smallest rescues make the biggest impact.
Our Fire Rescue team answered the call for one very small resident after a duckling found itself in a bit of a quack-tastrophe. Thanks to some teamwork and determination, the duckling was safely rescued and back on its way.

✅ Never leave a grill unattended
✅ Keep kids & pets at least 3 feet away
✅ Avoid loose clothing while cooking
✅ Keep a water source or fire extinguisher nearby
