Safer Homes = Stronger Community

Greenacres teamed up with the American Red Cross to help keep our neighbors safe in Colonial Estates through free smoke detector installations and fire safety education!

Together, we made a meaningful impact:
🏠 326 homes reached
🚨 78 free smoke detectors installed
📚 176 residents educated on fire safety

A working smoke detector can make all the difference in an emergency. We’re proud to partner with organizations like the American Red Cross to help protect our community, one home at a time.

Local government budgeting means planning ahead. Fire Rescue vehicle costs have risen dramatically: ladder trucks 155%, fire engines 97%, and rescue trucks 65%.

With delivery times growing and lifespans of just 7–12 years, these essential replacements require ongoing planning.

This , Greenacres Fire Rescue is reminding our community that safe charging habits can help prevent lithium-ion battery fires.

From phones and tablets to e-bikes and power tools, take a few simple precautions: use the correct charger, charge on a hard surface, unplug when fully charged, and stop using any battery that becomes unusually hot, swells, leaks, smokes, or smells strange.

⚡ Charge smart. Stay safe.

One team. One mission. Every mile, together.

This morning’s 3.6-mile Ruck Walk brought Greenacres Fire Rescue and city officials together for a challenging finish in full gear. The walk was one of the final tests for Recruit Class 30, and a great reminder that we go farther when we move as one. Great work to everyone who took part!
