GPATS GPATS (Greenville-Pickens Area Transportation Study)

The Greenville-Pickens Area Transportation Study (GPATS) is a Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), the federally-mandated regional entity that 1) programs the use of all State and Federal funding for multi-modal transportation projects, 2) works closely with SCDOT and other State and Federal Agencies on transportation projects, 3) objectively evaluates priorities and alternatives, and 4) enga

ges and informs the public on projects and planning efforts. GPATS serves the Urbanized Areas of Greenville and Pickens Counties along with parts of Anderson, Spartanburg, and Laurens Counties, as well as 16 municipalities.

Church Street Bridge updates.

🚧 The Church Street Bridge in downtown Greenville is closed and getting a major refresh! 🚧

Crews are beautifying the structure and prepping for hydrodemolition to remove old concrete and prepare the bridge deck for a new concrete overlay. Work on the bridge will continue through May, with the reopening expected by the end of June.
