If anyone recognizes this pup he has been wondering in the road on Lily Bay Rd in the area of Hilltop Dr. nobody has been able to catch him to keep him safe so please spread the word. Last seen a few hundred feet up on Hilltop Dr going into the woods back towards Lily bay rd.

Time: 10:00 a.m.

On Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at approximately 10:00 a.m., officers from the Greenville Police Department were dispatched to the area of 482 Moosehead Lake Road, along with the Greenville Fire Department and CA Dean Ambulance Service, for the report of a motor vehicle crash.

Upon arrival, first responders determined that the operator of a 2500 work van, Daniel Michaud, 39, of Brewer, had died from injuries sustained in the crash.

The preliminary investigation indicates that Michaud was traveling northbound on Moosehead Lake Road when the 2500 work van he was operating struck the rear of a tractor-trailer that was stopped at a traffic light in a construction zone.

Moosehead Lake Road was closed for several hours while members of the Greenville Police and Fire Departments and the Maine State Police processed and reconstructed the crash scene.

The investigation remains ongoing. At this time, speed and alcohol do not appear to be contributing factors in the crash.

The Greenville Police Department would like to thank the Greenville Fire Department, CA Dean Ambulance Service, the Maine State Police, and the Maine Department of Transportation for their assistance during the investigation and traffic control.

The members of the Greenville Police Department extend their sincere condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of Daniel Michaud during this difficult time.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or has information that may assist investigators is encouraged to contact the Greenville Police Department.

The North and South bound lanes of the Moosehead Lake Rd. in Greenville are currently CLOSED for an extended period of time due to an accident.

The Greenville Police Department has been made aware of a phone scam targeting community members.

Individuals posing as Greenville Police Officers are using our business phone number and the names of actual officers to convince people that there are arrest warrants for them related to the purchase of materials allegedly used to manufacture illegal drugs. The callers then attempt to obtain credit card information or demand payment of a "bail" to avoid arrest.

Please know that this is NOT the practice of the Greenville Police Department—or any legitimate law enforcement agency.

Law enforcement agencies do not call people to collect bail payments, request credit card numbers, or demand money to avoid arrest.

As we often joke, if we have an arrest warrant for you, it's usually a surprise. 😉

Please never provide personal, banking, or credit card information to anyone over the phone unless you are absolutely certain you are speaking directly with your financial institution or another verified organization.

If you receive one of these calls:
✅ Hang up immediately.
✅ Do not provide any personal information.
✅ Report the incident to your local law enforcement agency.
