We are still fundraising to replace the Children's Annex Roof!

Greetings, Moosehead Lake Region 🫎
‼️ URGENT REPAIRS NEEDED ‼️ sadly, our children's annex roof has suffered severe damage this last winter and needs replacing before leaks damage or ruin our precious children's books.

Any support you can offer is most welcome as this is an unexpected discovery that needs an urgent fix as spring arrives with its heavy rains.

‼️‼️ The quote for repair is $30,000 ‼️‼️

The Book Barn is NOW OPEN for the Season!

Come in during our regular hours and shop the book barn, currently stocked with books AND dvds! Perfect for summer reading, relaxing, or fill your cabins and rentals.

We have a new system in place this summer:
Small Bag (2-3 items) = $5
Medium Bag (7-10 items) = $10
OR
I want ALL the books and movies and may need a crane to help move the HUGE bag = $20

For all your support and for visiting our library yesterday... you truly made it a magical day in Moosehead 😊

How do I say THANK YOU to everyone that came to our open house yesterday?

That donated to help fix the annex roof.
That visited the library for the first time in months or even years. That got their first Shaw Library card.
That purchased from our book and dvd sale.
For the youth that grabbed their new reading reward card.
That reached out in the last 24 hours to offer more things we need.

That shared their time with us on a misty Saturday morning and made our open house EVERTHING we could have asked for 🥰

It was wonderful to mingle with familiar faces as well as meet so many new ones and we hope to see all of you again soon!

If you could not make it yesterday - no worries, you can come in anytime this next week and still enter the raffles. And still shop the book & dvd sale.
