We would like to extend our deepest condolences on the sudden passing of Kevin Robert, who suffered a medical event while on duty last night. Kevin’s dedication to serving others was evident through his work with LifeNet and Malta-Stillwater EMS. Our hearts are with his family, friends, and colleagues as they navigate this difficult loss.

*May 18–24 | We Care. For Everyone. *

This EMS Week, EASTON-GREENWICH proudly celebrates the everyday heroes who serve with unwavering dedication and compassion. Across every call, in every community, at every hour — you prove what it means to care for everyone.

From the first call to the final handoff, you bring comfort, skill, and strength to those experiencing their most difficult moments. Whether it’s a medical emergency, a natural disaster, or a quiet reassurance during a crisis — you show up, not just as responders, but as caretakers, advocates, and lifelines.

You are the bridge between crisis and care, the ones who meet people where they are — physically, emotionally, and unconditionally. This week, and every week, we honor your commitment to equity, service, and compassion.

To every EMT, AEMT, Paramedic, Telecommunicator, and EMS professional: Thank you! You are the heart of emergency medical care — and we are forever grateful for your service and sacrifice!

Good Afternoon ! We hope everyone is enjoying this Amazing weather ! We would like to send out a brief message letting our community know that we have a great deal of medical equipment for those in need at our building . So before having to go spend money please stop in and see if we have what you're looking for . That being said we are in need of Wheelchairs at the moment but as far as everything else we have a very good supply at the moment . So if you have things you're looking to donate just give us a call and we can see about making room. We greatly appreciate everyone's efforts into helping out our neighbors when it comes to these types of thing and are happy to lend a hand .

With May being mental health awareness I want to share some thoughts with everyone . I know this line of work takes a massive physical and psychological toll . We see human tragedy on a daily basis and are expected to just bury it within ourselves and move on . That is not the way humans work ... I once heard that that each provider is carrying around a backpack full of rocks , each call you go on another rock gets added , you have to pass on some rocks to others or your backpack will get full and make you fall . in this the concept is to understand and utilize our support structures to have healthy and happy lives . our support structure s are much more significant then many may realize . certainly we have EAP,or private psychology but keep in mind the people who are the easiest to talk to , to relate to , are each other . Each and everyone of us are responsible for looking after and supporting the rest of our people .could be as simple as venting in the ambulance after a bad call . Or getting together after work . having family shift dinners ,game nights in house when time permits . You need someone to talk to . Talk it out with you peers and if you need help seek professional help , Its not a sign of weakness . After spending many years or maybe for some your first day we see the worst of the worst . having a fatal call and having to listen to another humans cries for help and knowing it's impossible to change the outcome it effects everyone as it should . if you stay in this line of work for any period of time you will eventually be exposed to that one terrible call . or go through a low in your personal life . The important part is knowing it WILL get better and YOU are important and wanted . ultimately reach out to your peers ,the leadership and your friends in your agencies if you are ever struggling . Even if you just need to decompress about something not work related . We can not keep burying our Friends .
