Today, the Greer Centennial Lions Club presented the 2025 Firefighter of the Year Award in honor of Lt. Graham to his wife, Angie. While we continue to mourn his recent passing following a brief battle with cancer, today served as a meaningful opportunity to recognize and honor a man whose impact on the City of Greer, this department, and the fire service will never be forgotten.

Lt. Graham dedicated many years of faithful service to the City of Greer Fire Department and embodied servant leadership throughout his career. He was known for his humility, compassion, integrity, and unwavering commitment to serving others. Whether mentoring younger firefighters, leading by example, or caring for the citizens of Greer, Lt. Graham consistently put others before himself and left a lasting impression on everyone around him.

His influence extended far beyond the fire station. Through his leadership, professionalism, and servant heart, Lt. Graham helped shape the culture of this department and positively impacted countless lives throughout his career.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Greer Centennial Lions Club for recognizing Lt. Graham’s life, service, and legacy. His dedication to others and his love for this profession will continue to inspire generations of firefighters to come.

🚒 Brush Fire Response & Burn Ban Reminder 🔥

Fire crews are currently on scene working a large brush/woods fire in the area behind Wood Memorial Park. Due to dry conditions and increased fire risk, this fire has spread quickly and required a significant response to contain.

No evacuations are needed at this time but we ask citizens to avoid the area and let fire crews do their job.

We want to remind everyone that we are currently under a burn ban. Outdoor burning is prohibited, as even small fires can rapidly get out of control under these conditions.

Please help us keep our community safe by:
• Avoiding any outdoor burning
• Properly disposing of ci******es
• Reporting any signs of smoke or fire immediately

We appreciate your patience as crews continue to work to bring this incident under control. Stay safe and stay vigilant.
