Often called the “silent threat,” radon is the leading cause of lung cancer among non-smokers—and Iowa has some of the highest average indoor radon levels in the nation.

A representative from the American Lung Association will virtually present an informative session about radon, a naturally occurring gas found at elevated levels throughout Iowa. During this virtual presentation, participants will learn what radon is, why it is so prevalent in our state, and the health risks associated with long-term exposure.
