A Message from Your Commissioner:

You may have heard the term Formula Rate Plan, or FRP, but what exactly is it?

A Formula Rate Plan is a process that allows a utility to periodically come before the Mississippi Public Service Commission to have certain costs, revenues and investments reviewed. When an FRP comes before the Commission, it goes through a review process before the Commission makes a decision.

Yesterday, I met with one of our utility companies at our office to discuss its FRP and the regulatory process. Meetings like this are an important part of understanding what utilities are asking for and asking the questions necessary to protect customers.

I was honored to attend the groundbreaking celebrating an important project that will help support the expansion of the railroad system in George County.

I played a small role with contacting the utility companies involved to help move this project forward and remove potential obstacles along the way.

I’m thankful to George County Economic Development and the George County Board of Supervisors for their work on this project and for inviting me to be part of this special occasion.

I’m excited to see this project move forward and the opportunities it will bring to George County and the surrounding area.

It was an honor to be invited to the groundbreaking in George County this week.

I’m thankful to George County Economic Development and the George County Board of Supervisors for the invitation and for the opportunity to celebrate this important investment in our community.

I’m proud to have played a small part in helping make this project possible, and I’m excited to see what this means for the future of George County.

Congratulations to everyone involved, and thank you for allowing me to be part of this special day!

I attended the Mississippi Legislature’s public hearing on redistricting in Biloxi yesterday.

It was an opportunity to listen to members of the public and hear their perspectives as the Legislature considers the redistricting process.

I appreciate the opportunity to be there and stay informed about issues affecting communities across Mississippi.
