Hamilton County CPS Board

Hamilton County CPS Board The CPS Board supports the efforts of the Hamilton County CPS office to raise awareness of child abuse and neglect in our county.

We also plan events and help to fund Hamilton County foster children's needs. The Hamilton County CPS Board wants people to be knowledgeable and concerned about prevention and treatment of child abuse and neglect. Members work at a grassroots level to develop programs that meet a community’s needs. Child welfare boards may:

Independently or in collaboration with “rainbow room” groups work to meet

the tangible needs of children receiving CPS services. Host holiday celebrations and other special events for caseworkers and foster children

Provide support for family group decision making meetings, foster parent training, and foster youth conferences

Sponsor public awareness events to promote child abuse prevention and recruit foster and adoptive homes

Coordinate with courts and judges in pioneering solutions that support children and families and work to eliminate abuse and neglect.

What's in a bag? ❤
Every child that comes to the Isaiah 117 House leaves with a bag full of new items to call their own, and we often get asked what that looks like. Every bag has new clothing, pajamas, shoes, socks, underwear, toiletries, hair care items, toy, stuffed animal, pillow, blanket, pillowcase, books, backpack for school if needed, and diapers if needed.
We are able to help the child pick out their new items and make the bags special for each child. Seeing the joy on a child's face when they get to pick out their favorite toy or new shoes for school is a sight you'll never forget!
Thank you to all that donate items, bin buddies, or support our home. We are able to fill bags with new items because of you! ❤🏠

Today’s Loving on CPS was such a meaningful time as we paused to appreciate the incredible caseworkers who serve children and families every single day. During Foster Care Awareness Month, we especially want to recognize the compassion, sacrifice, and perseverance it takes to do this work well.

We were also so encouraged by the message shared by Redeemer Waco. It was a reminder of grace, growth, and the hope found in walking faithfully through hard things. Thank you, Redeemer Waco, for pouring into and encouraging those who care for vulnerable children in our community.

To every CPS worker: thank you for showing up, advocating, loving, and continuing the work even on the hardest days. We see you, and we are grateful for you.❤️
