Hancock Volunteer Fire Department responded mutual aid to a structure fire in New Ashford on Monday. We can't stress enough how important it is that we can rely on our neighboring towns in those times when disaster strikes. Mutual aid is about a unified response and making sure no community stands alone in an emergency. Thank you to all those involved.

Governor Healy announced on March 31 that 307 fire departments will share 5 million in grant funding. Hancock Fire is pleased to be getting approx. $7300 of that for sorely needed new 4 gas analyzers and calibration kits.

Thank You, Hancock!

About a week ago, the Hancock Fire Department was proud to be part of a truly successful and memorable Father-Daughter Dance. The smiles, laughter, and memories made that night are something we’ll all be talking about for a long time.

A huge thank you to Kayt Turner and Berkshire Balloons for the balloons and photo booth, and to DJ Chris for the excellent music and lighting that kept the dance floor full all night.

Most of all, we want to recognize Bloom Meadow and Sarah and Greg Holland. We truly cannot thank Sarah and Greg enough for their continued support of the Hancock Fire Department and for becoming such an integral part of the Hancock community. Their generosity and commitment make events like this possible, and we are incredibly grateful to have them as partners, friends, and neighbors.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the night so special. This is what community is all about!!
