HVFD Apparatus and crew along with Sutton Volunteer Fire Department -Nebraska are headed to the South Fork fire between Crawford and Harrison in western Nebraska. As of 6/11 the fire was at 5% containment with over 23,000 acres burned.

Severe thunderstorm warning for northern Clay County until 8:30p.m.

A tornado watch has also been issued for all of Clay county until Midnight.

A tornado watch has also been issued for all of Clay county until Midnight.

Several strong to severe storms will be expected to cross though much of the forecast area between mainly 5PM and midnight tonight. The primary hazards will be damaging thunderstorm wind gusts (up to 70 MPH) with large hail (up to the size of ping pong balls). An isolated tornado or two can't be ruled out.
