Brookline Volunteer Fire Company - Station 35

Last evening, members traveled to our training grounds to train on new member operations. For new members who are not qualified to be an interior fire fighter, tasks such as placing ground ladders, operating outside hose-lines and securing a water supply from the hydrant are just as important to the operations on scene as interior fire fighting.

Members on driver training also go to train on their skills in preparation to being signed off.

Company 35 is currently operating on a working fire in Llanerch’s first due. Ladder 35 arrived and placed a hand-line in service.

Throughout the week, members of Brookline Fire Company visited local schools, daycares, and our library to share important fire safety lessons with some of our youngest community members. The kids had the opportunity to get an up-close look at our fire apparatus, explore our equipment, and learn about the important role firefighters play in keeping our community safe.

We capped off the week Friday evening with a fantastic turnout at our annual Fire Prevention Open House!

A huge thank you to the schools, daycares, library staff, families, and community members who welcomed us throughout the week and joined us Friday night. We also want to recognize our dedicated volunteers who took time out of their busy schedules to make these events possible.

Fire prevention doesn’t end when the week is over. The lessons learned today can help keep our families safe tomorrow

Yesterday Foam 35 traveled to the City in Support of Philadelphia Fire Department’s return of its annual fire muster. The Foam Unit was requested by organizers due to the uniqueness of the apparatus.

Despite the weather, and watching an eagles loss the event was a great time! Thank you to the PFD for extending the invitation!

Another successful Haverford Township Day in the books!

Thank you to all that supported our BBQ pit! This year , Ladder 35 had the honor to transport Betsy Ross and Benjamin Franklin throughout the parade.

After the BBQ pit, Centrella's Deli hosted their meatball eating contest. Firefighter Kevin Barry represented our company, Kevin came in 2nd place!

Thank you to Philly Tin Helmet Training, LLC for a great Engine and Truck company class, even with heavy rain. Strong work by members Sean Boyer, Sean McCabe and Kevin McCabe for giving 100 percent through this demanding and realistic training! Two full days of rain but we still got it in, in Havertown! Huge thank you to Oakmont FD for hosting us for 2 days of Engine and Ladders. We had a great time and appreciate all of you who came out, put out, despite the weather, and trained. Stay safe, and we will see you all again, soon!
